North Cascades National Park, still my favorite. Though it’s getting increasingly harder to choose. And, I’ve never even left the continent.. blows my mind every time I think about it

Bixby Creek Bridge, a popular place, and for good reason. From a misty morning of high surf and high winds, mid-December..

Morro Bay, from around Christmas time. The weather was nothing short of perfect, mid sixties. Salt water, golden light and beautiful, rocky coastline.. gotta love California

Dusk at 6,000 feet. My last trip of the season, in Autumn- probably my favorite, too. Though it’s hard to choose, when so much beauty surrounds you. There’s a reason why it took me so long to venture out of Washington. The many lakes, many peaks and infinite possibility that exists here.. it’s pretty ridiculous, honestly

Pure magic in the coastal forests of Oregon. It’s been over a year since my last visit.. good to be back.

Yosemite has been on the mind lately. But, then again, when is it not, I guess. It’s a place that never leaves you. This one’s from a particularly moody day at one of the world’s most photographed locations. Tunnel View... a spot that is surely worth the hype.

From a sunrise I almost slept through, at one of my favorite places. For those in the Seattle area, @christianschaffer and I are selling a bunch of stuff at the West Seattle Garage Sale today. Prints, cameras, outdoor gear and a storage unit’s worth of home goods. We’ll be here till 3 PM, check my story for more info :)

Still can’t wrap my head around the fact that people climb this thing. Photos don’t do justice to the scale of this rock. Go stand on the valley floor sometime.. you’ll see what I mean.

Full moon over Yosemite Valley, November 2018. Frozen fingers, fiddling with my camera settings. Watching the fog roll off the face of El Cap, wondering if there are any climbers up there. Low clouds swirling, fast enough for the eye to see- a beautiful thing. Cold air and a quick breeze. I don’t shoot night photography much.. but moments like this one make me question why. I think I need to ask myself why more often. And, equally important- why not?

From a scouting mission a couple of days ago. Always hit or miss this time of year, with melting snow. On this trip, however, all I found was sunshine and wildflowers.. looking good on the eastern slopes 🐝

Big Sur high camp, a couple thousand feet above the sea. Ocean views, mountain views, not a soul around. This is often the case when you choose your hikes carefully, and a huge reason #WhyIHike as much as I do #LiveYourAdventure #EBContributor @eddiebauer
