Seeing these selfies back to back, I do feel proud of my progress, but it also reminds me that deep down, I have loved myself all along. When I look at the photo on the left, I don’t cringe or feel shame to share it one bit. I actually remember feeling really amazing while taking it. I had just cut over eight inches of my hair off and was rocking it, my freckles were sun-kissed and in full force, and I was in one of those rare frisky moods where I even put on some lipstick. 💋 As each day passes, I learn more and more that regardless of my weight of appearance, bad days will come, and it’s about how you push those negative feelings aside and hug yourself close when it feels hardest to be loved that makes all the difference. 💛  #selflove

Ok 3 Days to go!!! 🔴⚪️🔵🔴⚪️🔵
Today I’m talking about the supplements I took and a couple of the brands I used 😊💪
⚪️🔵🔴 So for the first 2 weeks in spring training I used no pre workouts no caffeine replacements or fat burners!!!!! 😳 you may ask why? Well these first 2 weeks are the detox period!! 😭 which means pretty much nothin artificial the only thing I did take was magnesium supplements everyday with turmeric and an iron tablet!😳🔴🔵⚪️ After the first 2 weeks I took a fat burner called Oxyshred the same one in the story on my page! Now weather it works or not I don’t know but what I do know is I would take this once in the morning before my workout and I’d feel energised and great for the whole day!!! I used one scoop a day for the last 6 weeks of the challenge😍 you can get this from @nutritionwarehouse 🔴🔵⚪️ Next up Creatine Magna this is a unique combination of Creatine and Magnesium! It helps enhance explosive energy and is neutral tasting and easy to mix in! I would only use this on weights days when I needed that extra bump to push me harder and to lift heavier! On those days I would just pop one scoop and mix it in with my oxyshred before morning training 😊💪 this is from @trueprotein 🔴🔵⚪️ Now when it comes to protein there are 2 types in the challenge you have your whey protein and your natural pea protein! For these on challenge 21 I bought the natural pea protein from the health isle at coles and I’m not going to lie it was dreadful 😂 It was called planet food 😳 But luckily I have found a really good one! 
Once again @nutritionwarehouse grab yourself some B raw ! Photo in my story! I have grabbed the chocolate flavour this time as the first few weeks through the detox i was craving that the most so it definitely helps!! 😍🔥🔥
For the whey protein I got @trueprotein as in my story! I must say I bought the Salted Caramel flavour and it was bloody delicious!!! It’s 90% protein content , fast digesting and low in lactose which for me is good! 
I will go more details when we start but this is to give you a vague idea! Also book on @chefgood now for week 2! There selling fast so get your menu and plan ordered today!!

The #1 determinant of the results you get from your training is nutrition

You can have great genetics. You can train as hard, as long, as consistently as possible. You can sleep 9 or 10 hours a night. You can take extra days to rest and recover. You can take all the supplements and run all the gear in the world. If you aren’t supplying your body with what it needs to perform at an optimal level, to recover, repair and rebuild the muscle tissue you’re breaking down in the gym, your body will not change. Period. If your nutrition is not at least somewhat in place, you might as well throw all your training, rest, supplements and cycles out the window.

But it isn’t just about that. Nutrition isn’t just confined to determining your rate of recovery, repair, or the results you get from your training - the nutrients you receive have an effect on an absurd amount of biological processes such as sex/steroid hormone production, the release and balance of neurotransmitters, digestion, detoxification, cell growth and death, on and on and on. Your sex/steroid hormones - testosterone, estrogens, progesterone, pregnenolone - are all made from cholesterol, which is made from dietary fats. These hormones and other hormones they convert to in the body help regulate fat metabolism, muscle growth, nitrogen retention, sex drive and sexual function, bone density, hair growth, etc. They also have interactions with other hormones and with neurotransmitters which ultimately determine your mood and sense of well-being on a daily basis.

And this is literally the smallest most simplified picture I could paint of the importance of nutrition. There’s this colossal misconception that what you do in the gym is the most important aspect of fitness. In actuality, it’s the least important. #1 is nutrition and consistency, #2 is rest and recovery, #3 is training intensity and supplementation.

Muscle growth doesn’t occur in the gym. Muscle damage occurs in the gym. All the growing and changing is determined by what you do the other 22 or 23 hours of the day.

You know those days when you get to the gym and before your first warm-up set is even over, you can already tell it’s going to be a shitty workout? Today was one of those.

I’m the type of person where the quality of my workout and the way I feel leaving the gym pretty much determines the outcome of the rest of my day. It sounds petty but if you really live for this shit, you understand.
.
Perfectionism is an understatement. It’s just the way I’m wired - constantly at war with myself - every day striving to be better than I was the day before. It took a long time for me to learn that just because I can’t see or feel the progression today, that doesn’t automatically mean I’m going backward.
.
So to highlight (according to me) the only acceptable portion of my training today, here’s a little arm finisher
• 3-4 heavier sets decline curls, 5-8 reps
• 3-4 moderate sets seated hammer curls 15-20 reps
.
I never give arms their own day unless I need a plateau breaker. I only train biceps or triceps individually and at the end of a back or chest/shoulder workout. 6-8 sets max. I’m a big proponent of attacking a muscle group as quickly as possible, getting in and getting out, especially with the small ones.
.
A shorter workout/more intense stimulation + quicker recovery = the ability to train them more frequently = more growth. Give this approach a try if you’re having trouble growing your arms.

SIM, SOU EU E NÃO ME IMPORTO QUEM PODE VER! Aquele #tbt pra dizer que o que importa é ser feliz e amar a si mesma. Essa foto foi a causa de muito bullying e vergonha por muitos anos pra mim. É uma foto giga da minha família no Natal que fica na parede na casa dos meus pais. Imagina quando meus amigos - quando meu crush! - vieram em casa e viram?!. Eu escondia a foto no meu quarto depois que eles tiraram uma foto e mandaram pra a turma da escola.... Hoje eu olho e fico rindo, e fico feliz em ver quanto eu era uma criança feliz! Que mesmo daquele jeito, eu emitia felicidade. Os anos depois desta foto não foram fáceis e algumas pessoas tentaram apagar esta luz por causa da minha aparência. Mas estou muito grata por ter passada por isso. Me ensinou empatia, compaixão, a ter uma casca dura e ser forte. Quando me sinto mal hoje, gosto de olhar essa foto e me lembrar de sorrir, só com mais dentes..

Each of these photos is picture of me with an eating disorder. The smile you see is the same girl. With the same joys, strengths, and problems with food. Weight-loss did not free me from my eating problem, it just made it more obvious to me that it existed. I thought skinny girls didn’t have compulsions to over eat. I thought I was suppose to feel full after one bite? Instead, the same urges just in a healthier body. My mind is the part of me that is sick. That’s one of the hardest things to admit. My whole life, I thought my body was my problem and that my personality was perfect! The classic “I’m the perfect fat girl who if I just was skinny would finally be seen” mentality that I build up to protect myself.  So having to stand back and say that there is a problem with my mind, has really made me feel vulnerable. It was easy to make excuses for my body, but it’s hard to tell the world I’m going to therapy. Some days I feel free, but some weeks I feel lost. All that said. I won’t ever stop fighting for myself. I stood in front of a mirror for years begging for things to change. Today, I stand up for myself. I seek help because I need help. I work out because my body deserves this. This is the face of an intelligent, hard-working, imperfect, and proud person. This the face of eating disorders. This is who I’ve always been and proud to be today.

Today is 11 months from the day that I started my pre op diet and I've lost 127 pounds! 🙌🏻 I remember how scared I was that day because I knew that once I got started, there was no way that I was stopping! And that scared the hell out of me because if nothing could stop me...the next step was surgery! 🙈 Oh, I had so much fear! I'd never had surgery in my life! I remember that I couldn't stop crying the morning that we left for the airport. 😪 Joe asked me if I was scared and I cried, YESSSS!!! He said do you want to back out and I cried, NOOOO!!! 😂 (I think that's when he nicknamed me Bo-Pilar because I was acting bi-polar!) 😂 I also remember him asking me "do you know what it means to be afraid to do something but you do it anyway? It means that you're BRAVE!" 💪🏻 I'll never forget that because he was right! I  was brave to do something that I'd feared my entire life and because of that my life has changed forever!!! I could start right now trying to list all of the changes in myself, mentally and physically, but it would take me all day! I'll never regret my decision to be BRAVE and I'm gonna keep being brave for the rest of my life because of this one choice! Most of y'all don't know this about me but I'm one of the shyest people you'll ever meet and I spent my life being afraid of EVERYTHING! 🙈 Every single time that I post a before and after photo or do a LIVE video, I'm being brave because it is soooo far out of my comfort zone! But do you know where success happens? Outside of your comfort zone! 😊 I'm done being unhappy and unhealthy and now I'm optimistic and excited about my future and I love the life that I have created!
