Easy Pan Pitas ☺️

Welcome to day 3️⃣ of my middle eastern inspired feast!

There is NOTHING better than fresh warm bread with a meal and if you haven’t made your own pitas before... you’re missing out! I have a simply recipe for you below🔽. Make a big batch of these and freeze some for later. ❤️Happy Tuesday all!❤️

Don’t forget to share with someone you think would love this😊.

Ingredients:
1 tbsp active quick rise yeast 
1 cup warm (not hot) water
1 tbsp sugar
1 tbsp olive oil
2- 2.5 cups flour + a bit for rolling
A pinch of salt
.
Instructions:
Mix together yeast + warm water and let sit for 10 mins until foam forms on top of water. Add in the remaining ingredients and knead for 5-10 mins until dough becomes stretchy, adding more flour if needed. Place dough in a greased bowl, cover and let rise for at least 1 hour. Once dough has risen, place dough on a floured surface and pat down. Divide dough into 8 small balls and roll out to about 1/2 inch thickness. 🔥*Work fast for the next step!*🔥 Heat a non stick pan over med-high and place pitas (one at a time) in pan can cook for 1 minute flipping at 30 seconds. To get the most air for bubbles, cover with lid between flips.

Tried papaya for my first time this weekend! This fruit has an enzyme that aids in digestion, has a high water content, helps to clear up the skin, and has many other benefits! Definitely more of a fan without the seeds but they do add a spice along with an antibacterial effect.

Scoop out the seeds, remove the skin, and eat!!

I hope it looks as good as it tastes, this Curry is so yummy 😋, #vegan,#plantbased , #realfood above all it’s easy to prepare, flexible ingredients.  Method;1)sauté onions with salt then add mashed garlic and ginger, curry and turmeric powder.  2) add a cup of diced carrots,2 cups boiled chickpeas,1cup diced mangoes and 14 oz coconut milk, simmer until vegetables are cooked.  3)add 10 oz spinach for few more mins until cooked as desired  Feel free to change the amount of ingredients or add some like red peppers😋👌

Forgot to screen grab my fast, so here it is in a slightly different format via the history setting. You don't have to fast this long but due to work, this is when I could first eat. You can fast for just 12 hours and have breakfast, lunch and tea within your 800 calories. I prefer to wait longer before I eat, as once I start eating I get hungry, then have two meals - a lighter snacky mea,l then my tea' proper' with the family. It is a necessary process which allows us to recover from stressors like exercise, injury, and fight off certain diseases. However, it is important to confine inflammatory processes to only the injured area and when the body is constantly inflamed throughout (systemic), this can cause many problems- so it is important to minimize inflammation in the absence of injury.

🥑Long-term Inflammation is the key driver of almost all chronic diseases. This can be seen as a result of chronic stress, unhealthy environment/lifestyle, and a poor diet. Ways to keep systemic inflammation to a minimum include getting proper rest, reducing emotional stress, and eating a healthy anti-inflammatory diet.

🥦Although everyone is different and we all react to foods differently, these are some general guidelines of which foods are more and less likely to cause inflammation in the body. Some foods, like omega-3 fats, actually work to lower & balance inflammation in the body. The sun is out today and even though it’s windy, we’re making this Mediterranean Salad! It’s perfect for spring!
SAVE the recipe to make it later 🥒🍅
🌟🌟🌟🌟
Ingredients:
3 Persian cucumbers sliced
3 tomatoes chopped
1/2 red onion thinly sliced
1 cup pitted kalamata olives
1 cup artichoke hearts halved
1 cup parsley chopped
Mediterranean Salad Dressing
1/4 cup olive oil
1 lemon juice of
1 tsp sumac
2 cloves garlic minced
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp black pepper

Instructions
In a large bowl, place cucumbers, tomatoes, red onion, olives, artichoke hearts and parsley. 
Using two spoons, lightly mix the vegetables and put the bowl in the refrigerator. 
Make the Mediterranean salad dressing by mixing olive oil, lemon, sumac, garlic, salt and pepper in a mason jar or a small bowl. 
Pour the dressing over salad and mix well. 🌟🌟🌟🌟

Beef and broccoli like you’ve never had it! 🥦🥡🥢 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
INGREDIENTS
For the broccoli rice
4 cups broccoli florets about 2 small crowns
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 garlic clove, minced
1 green onion thinly sliced, white and green parts separated
For the Sauce
¼ cup hoisin sauce
¼ cup water
1 tablespoons cornstarch
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1 tablespoon toasted sesame seed oil
1 teaspoon fresh ginger, minced
For the beef
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 pound flank steak, thinly sliced across the grain
Salt and pepper, to taste
INSTRUCTIONS
1. To make the riced broccoli, process the broccoli florets in a blender or food processor until you get a riced texture. Heat a pan with olive oil on medium, add the garlic and the white parts of the green onions and fry until fragrant, about 1-2 minutes. Add the riced broccoli to the mixture and toss together until the broccoli slightly softens, about 2-4 minutes. Divide the broccoli between 4 bowls and wipe clean the pan with a paper towel
2. To make the sauce, whisk together the ingredients in a small bowl or a small blender. Set aside.

INGREDIENTS
For the broccoli rice
4 cups broccoli florets about 2 small crowns
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 garlic clove, minced
1 green onion thinly sliced, white and green parts separated
For the Sauce
¼ cup hoisin sauce
¼ cup water
1 tablespoons cornstarch
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1 tablespoon toasted sesame seed oil
1 teaspoon fresh ginger, minced
For the beef
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 pound flank steak, thinly sliced across the grain
Salt and pepper, to taste
INSTRUCTIONS
1. To make the riced broccoli, process the broccoli florets in a blender or food processor until you get a riced texture. Heat a pan with olive oil on medium, add the garlic and the white parts of the green onions and fry until fragrant, about 1-2 minutes. Add the riced broccoli to the mixture and toss together until the broccoli slightly softens, about 2-4 minutes. Divide the broccoli between 4 bowls and wipe clean the pan with a paper towel
2. To make the sauce, whisk together the ingredients in a small bowl or a small blender. Set aside.
