DeadLifts! Love them! Who else?🤟🏼
I also love working out with friends! It makes me feel like I have my own personal cheerleader. Which everyone needs haha! @stephgregersen came with me today  and helped me make my legs feel like Jello!! We started with... dundundunDUUUN.
1. Deadlifts 
12, 10, 8, 6, 4. Increasing weight each time. 
Then 6, 8, 10, 12. Decreasing weight each time. 
My legs were tired by the end of that. 
2. Superset x4
Smith machine hip thrusts x10-12
Dumbbell squats x10-12
3. Superset x4
Jumping lunges x20
Reverse hack squats x10
4. Go roll for a while haha! .

“Coach, help! I really want to get better at pull ups. And I’m constantly doing Ring Rows as a sub but I’m still not getting better at pull ups. •

Ring Rows aren’t the best substitute for pull ups because that’s a horizontal plane of pulling. You need to be doing more vertical pulling since that’s what you’ll be doing during a pull up. Here’s a great superset that will help. 💪🏽 •

For all the entrepreneurs out there. -
Just so happens that both these events fell on the same weekend for us.
-
@fortheculturemedia is starting to prepare for their upcoming event in August that will highlight small and local businesses in the Lynn and surrounding areas.  We had the pleasure and honor of being one of those invited. -
And @nslatinobusiness held their 8th annual gala last night in which dozens of new businesses around the North Shore were given their membership plate and recognized. -
It is extremely tough to start, run, maintain and grow a business no matter who you are. But it is so empowering to see so many people from different cultures taking the leap to do more to help our cultures blossom and help make a impact!

Here’s a little #mondaymotivation for ya folks...

I’ve been working some variation of deadlifts in at least twice a week. Back wasn’t feeling so great this morning so opted for the trap bar today👌🏻
.
Before diving into this shit storm, I spent a little extra time on some movement prep to help move the bus a bit smoother. Sure enough, it helped..a lot.
.
Do yourself and your body a favor..take the time to get it ready. It’s great to move weight, it’s great to jump on a school bus, but it’s also great to not injure yourself in the process🤯

Just the jooooocy stuff from this weekend's session with @ifbb_alexabates. The leg press video was the 3rd attempt in a rest pause set and she was mad at me for filming it 😁. The pendulum squat was part of a drop set so there was more to that one also.  Definitely put her to work this week.  Starting to dig into lower calories and cardio is getting, what I consider, relatively high but she's still able to move big weight and hit PR's with great execution so I'd say things are coming along wonderfully. .

Side note: when you have a gym and run your business in your home, it's kinda great to get the hell out of the house sometimes.  So thank you to @houseofpaingym for the vacation.

This journey was so much more for me then training for a ‘fight’... It tested my inner strength and pushed my body to its limits which needed to happen for me! This experience, as difficult as it was at times, was one of the best things I ever did...it honesty broke me down, then built me up to find my true inner strength and deeper purpose. .

As @inspired_strat always says “when was the last time you tried something for the first time?” 🤔

People apply to these events for many different reasons. For me I needed to take on this personal challenge not from my body but for my mind. I needed to see what I was capable of. I needed a VOLUNTARY hardship, my life had already been so full of INVOLUNTARY difficulties it was time to PICK my own challenge! .
