A not so healthy recipe but seriously so delicious!! A classic homemade banana bread 😍 Ingredients below:
2 cups of flour 
1 tbs of baking powder
1/4 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt 
1 tbs cinnamon 
1/2 cup unsalted, room temp. butter 
1 cup sugar 
2 large eggs 
1 tsp pure vanilla extract 
3 overripe mashed bananas 
1/2 cup of milk chocolate chips 
Separate the dry and wet ingredients then fold together. Bake at 350 degrees for approx. 40 mins or until brown. I have a small AB circuit for you! Pretty simple - sit-up/wall balls and dead bug. Complete 15 sit-up/wall balls followed by five weighted sit-ups. Immediately follow with 15 deadbugs and then a 10 second deadbug hold! Repeat 3-4 times through! .

This is what grinding looks like. A big baggy t-shirt, tired eyes, but happy and proud to be slowly chipping away and returning to myself after taking essentially a YEAR off from consistent exercise and nutrition when studying for the MCAT and applying to med school. But it paid off! I’ll be moving to St Maarten in September with the boyfriend where we will both be starting our medical education journey! We will also be living in perpetual summer so my goal is to feel fit, happy and healthy in time for that move. To get there I’ve been working with @abbyccarpenter from @gains4girls and could not recommend her MORE!! Hopefully in a month or two I’ll feel confident enough to post a before/after. We will see! 😳💕

Today was just one of those days. I had a good sleep last night so no reason to feel tired but I was shattered. Sat in the car for 30 minutes fully contemplating my upcoming leg session...and then got in and couldn’t reach the clip. Im@not ashamed to admit I very nearly cried. Luckily a very nice lady next to me lent me hers. It is times like this I hate training on my own 😩

Anyway, got in, got it done. The only PB this time was getting in and finishing when I would’ve usually turned around and gone home.

Current physique look sitting at 137 lbs. I've been on vacation mode since we got to Florida on Sunday. Got in a workout yesterday which felt AMAZING! Today's workout is already planned & it's just a matter of getting my nutrition back on track, which is always a challenge but I know I'll get it down. Now off to workout outside in this Florida heat!

What’s crazy is that I only do one focused bicep exercise a week and the rest is all around my power lifts like squats and bench. This is what concentrating on the basics can get you! Thank you @forbesperformance for this five year journey and helping me build my best, favorite 35-year-old body! I travel and work a ton, but my garage gym is my safe space. I’m glad I have Dan to help make my training so easy and fun. Hooray for what you can do with just a barbell and some dumbbells. So I've had a few messages lately asking what my diet is like🤔 It's all good me sharing my "healthy desserts"  and meals out, but it's also important for me to point out that 80% of my diet is made up of things like this👆🏼👆🏼

I eat a lot of high volume foods (these are food that tend to be lower in calorie but provide a lot of nutrients and a larger amount)
.
I eat a lot of stirfry and salads that I add my own spices too so it's not bland🥗, I usually stick to lean protein such as chicken and fish🍗, and I Include a lot of fruit and Greek yogurt as snacks 🍍🍓
.
Some high volume foods include rice cakes, egg whites but I usually use the whole egg🍳, oats, popcorn🍿 , fruit, veggies (especially green veggies) and oats, which are all especially good when dieting 🙌🏼

Happy Wednesday loves! These oats were the best I’ve had in a while! So good! dEATS: 3/4 cup quick oats (girl was hungry today), 1/2 cup @silk coconut milk, 2 scoops @drinkorgain vanilla protein powder, 5 grams brown sugar, a whole lot of cinnamon, and 1/2 cup water. Microwave for 3 min., stir, then 2 more minutes and top with @enjoylifefoods chocolate chips and @sunbutter (mine was mixed in). Try to let it cool because it’s even better that way!

As most of you probably already know, not all food items have the same amount of calories. Generally, foods that are higher in fat tend to have more calories, given that 1 gram of fat is 9 calories, whereas protein & carbs have 4 calories each per gram.

In addition, carbs & fruits/veggies tend to be much more filling, yet less calorie dense. This means that you can intake a much higher volume of these foods, yet also feel more satiated. This is why when it comes to fat loss, it is important that you strategically eat foods that are less calorie dense so you can avoid a constant feeling of hunger.

However, that being said, you should not be completely avoiding all the foods on the left side of the diagram. Rather, eat a balanced diet, while keeping in mind which foods can help you feel full for longer w/o consuming a large amount of calories.

I freaking hate #glutebridges but it has been one of the most beneficial exercises I've ever done. It not only makes the #booty look better but it improves #squats and #deadlift performance and most importantly it has completely alleviated any lower back pain I use to always struggle with. We're all busy, but you can still keep it healthy on the run. Here are a few of my favorite low-maintenance snacks to take with me on busy days.

🥑 Avocados are the perfect grab-n-go snack filled with healthy fats and filling fiber. Bring your own sea salt, and you're all set!

🍳 Eggs are a great source of protein and fats that'll keep your body and brain fueled. Soft-boil a few and leave them in the fridge to grab throughout the week.

🍓 Any fruit is perfect on-the-go, but I especially love low-sugar fruits like berries or grapefruit, to keep my blood sugar stable. For digestive purposes, I always try to eat these on their own, on an empty stomach.

🍫 Phat Fudge. One of the only packaged food snacks because it's filled with real ingredients. Made with tahini, coconut butter, cayenne, and a touch of coffee - it's the perfect spicy snack to keep you full and energized.

😬 Jeder sucht die magische Pille, die einem einen Sixpack oder einen straffen Body verleiht. Leider oft vergeblich, weil auf physikalischer Ebene muss man eigentlich - ‚einfach mehr Energie verbrauchen, als man zuführt!‘

Hört sich doch erst mal easy an, oder? Wir wollen also unseren Körper zwingen, Energie aus seinen Reserven zu mobilisieren und zu verbrennen!

Wie soll das konkret funktionieren? Man kann also:
✅ ...sich mehr bewegen (siehe Stoffwechselserie) um den kcal-Verbrauch zu steigern
✅ ...einfach weniger essen, um seinen kcal-Zufuhr zu senken
✅ ...oder einfach beides anwenden! 🤓
