The psoas major is the biggest and strongest player in a group of muscles called the hip flexors: together they contract to pull the thigh and the torso toward each other. The hip flexors can become short and tight if you spend most of your waking hours sitting, or if you repeatedly work them in activities like sit-ups, bicycling, and certain weight-training exercises. •

We see this problem daily in the office and I usually use Active Release Technique to loosen the muscle and then adjust the joint needed in the pelvis and lumbar spine. •

This stretch is then given for home care and should be performed hourly during the day. •

Let’s Do This!!! 1. Stand in a split stance with your left foot forward and your right foot straight back. Bend your left knee so that it is at about a 90-degree angle. This should put you into a forward lunge position. Place your left hand on the wall. Keep your shoulders relaxed, your hips even, your chest open, and your gaze straight ahead. •

2. Drive the hips forward until you feel a stretch from the front of your hip, groin, and thigh on your right side. •

3. Lean towards the wall and back slightly with your right hand if you would like a deeper stretch •

4. Hold for 60 seconds •

5. Repeat on the other side •

This is a gorgeous salad I made to share with my incredibly busy, stay-at-home mom of two, best friend of over 20 years @melbvale. Eating healthier doesn’t require a lot of time or effort. It requires planning and having the right produce on-hand. I steamed potatoes for her in advance in her Instant Pot so that she would have something high carb and low fat to grab and snack on during her hectic schedule. She really enjoyed dipping those in my signature cashew cheese. We froze a case of bananas for her so that she’d be ready for an easy smoothie in the Vitamix anytime. And, of course, fresh fruit is always the easiest and most nourishing/eco-friendly snack or meal. The bonus was making the fastest celery, cucumber, parsley juice for her. At first she didn’t like it, but then when I described it as a healthy tasting water she seemed to be more on board. Making the juice was faster than washing the celery and cleaning the juicer afterwards 🤣

It feels weird to share the financial side of my online health and coaching business because it’s not the main reason I do what I do- but I do want those out there watching from the sidelines to know the potential. 
My coaching check today (we’re paid weekly) is enough for 2 weeks of groceries! 
To some of you? That may seem like nothing. To us?? The type of people who live on a budget, who are typically paycheck to paycheck people- that’s huge!! How would 2 weeks of grocery money impact you?

Alright y'all I had such an overwhelming amount of people asking me if the Tick Spray I posted the other day would work for their fur babies 🐶and I wanted to give a proper post about using essential oils with dogs, so tag someone who could use this.

Note: This post is specifically for dogs only, NOT Cats😺
🐶Dogs and cats metabolize essential oils differently. •
When using essential oils with dogs please be very mindful that they are much more sensitive to these oils than we are and I ONLY can speak for and recommend dōTERRA! Quality is SO important so please no store bought crap!

Insect repellent for Dogs 🐶
This should help repel Fleas, Ticks, & Mosquitoes. This is the safest way to shelled your dog when in infested areas.
↠Please note this does not kill insects but helps inhibit the dog from attracting bloodsucker).
↠🚫Do NOT use on puppies under 3 months old!
↠🚫Do NOT get in pets eyes, nose, ears or on their genitals.
↠🚫Same rule applies if an oil irritates the skin do NOT use water only FCO to dilute.
↠Use care when applying his can be an overwhelming experience for your pet.
↠🚫Do NOT apply oils to long eared breeds as the oils can get in their eyes or nose when the dog shakes its head.
•
↠Combine in a 1 oz Spray bottle.
↠40 drops Terrashield
↠40 drops Peppermint
↠20 drops Cedarwood
↠20 drops Arborvitae
↠Fill the rest with FCO
↠Spray on YOUR hands 🖐🏼🤚🏼rub hands together, then rub hands through your dogs coat, behind ears, and on legs, stomach and feet.
↠Reapply as needed for size of dog, but apply lightly to avoid overwhelming your dog's senses.
↠Apply 2-4 X's a day, depending on how much time the dog spends outside. Also apply before going to dog parks, on hikes, or into areas of concern.

Late breakfast and going for something very filling and full of fiber because I have a busy day!! I used my fauxoatmeal recipe and mixed in 1 Tbsp of peanut butter, 1/2 tsp banana extract, 1 Tbsp chocolate chips(sugar free), and 2 tsp diced walnuts! and it was sooo delicious! Like a warm oatmeal cookie almost!

🥣 K4K Amazing Fauxtmeal 🥣 
Makes 8 Servings
1 Serving(dry mix only):299 Calories, 18g Fat, 1.2g Carbs, 6.3g Protein

1/2 Cup Chia Seeds
1/2 Cup Ground Flaxseed
1/2 Cup +2Tbsp Shredded Coconut(Unsweetened)
1/4 Cup Hemp Hearts
1 tsp Cinnamon 
3 Tbsp Swerve Brown or erythritol 
Directions:

1. Start with ONE SERVING! For those that like more steel cut oats leave as is and mix with 1/2 cup Hot Unsweetened Almond Milk and sweeten to your preference. Stir well.

2. Those that like it more porridge like blend the dry mixture into a smooth powder. Then add 3/4 cup of hot unsweetened almond milk and sweeten to your liking. Stir well.

Dry shampoo, a pack of diapers & some puffs… alright, let’s get going!

In our house mornings can be smooth sailing. Sipping coffee and singing along to preschool rhymes while we get ready to head out for the day. Other mornings tend to look like a handful of puffs on the counter for entertainment while I add another layer of dry shampoo to my hair hoping I didn’t overdo it and the top of my roots don’t stay white after I brush out all the tangles.

Over the next three weeks my team and I are going to dive into a 21-day bootcamp. Throughout this virtual group we will cover so many different topics. All things including nutrition, fitness, personal development but most importantly habits. Daily habits are the foundation of a health and happy lifestyle because let’s be real life is going to happen! Your kids are going to wake up way too early and mess up your morning plans, you’re bound to forget to put dinner in the crock-pot the morning before a busy day, the list can go on and on! BUT that does not mean you throw in the towel and say, “heck with it”. Girl, you adjust your mindset and figure it out. Didn’t get a workout in this morning? Oh well, looks like your going to drink your go-go juice and press play after the kiddos are snoozing! Didn’t meal prep dinner tonight? Well, guess what sister?! Before that I was a mom of 2 little ones, uncomfortable with my post baby body, skipping meals, living off Dr. Pepper, and indulging in sweets most nights after the kids went to bed (as my reward for making it another day)! Believe me, I know your struggles. 
Those struggles no longer define me. Guys!!! All I wear is workout clothes thanks to the 75 hard challenge 😂 Literally my day is wake up, get Melia ready, go for a 45 min walk, pack her up, drop her off at my parents house, book it to the gym, workout, run back to my parents to pick her up, go home, eat, drink, mom duties..... and the list goes on! This is my day every day! 😂😂 I literally feel like I’m racing against the clock from the second I wake up until the second I go to bed...and guess what? I LOVE IT! its been a while since I’ve had this much energy, and I KNOW it’s because the 75 hard challenge has conditioned my brain to say YES, to never give up, to fight through cravings, and fight through those moments where I want to give up! I’m stronger mentally, and I race against the clock because I can’t miss a day, and there’s nothing stopping me! Dinner last night! - I usually go with Caesar salad but I decided to switch it up and do a cobb! I still prefer Caesar 🤷🏻‍♀️For him I made some pan fried tilapia and shrimp with homemade maseca tortillas and a little side salad! 
Sometimes my meals still turn out low carb even though I don’t intend for them too!

Happy almost Friday! I just love Thursday’s. I went outside this morning to weed the yard for a little. It feels amazing to get out there and see the plants finally starting to come alive. Today is a gorgeous spring day. We have already had one picnic so far and will head to the playground in a few hours for our second picnic! Yay for no kitchen cleanup 👏🏻 Today I’m sharing a super simple and incredibly nutritious salad. Thank you to my friend Michelle @find_wellness for the broccoli sprout inspiration 🙌🏻 You can read the unbelievable benefits of these sprouts on her post! Taking this morning moment by moment. Sickness has hit our household again, so I’m hanging out at home with my boys, while trying to squeeze in a full workday. On days like these, workouts are always my saving grace. 🙏🏼 The second nap time hits, I’m getting myself on the mat with some weights to work up a much needed sweat. 😅

🙈After a week on vacation I’m ready to get back to some normalcy. But like after traveling and unpacking most of the day ... who wants to cook?! So I’m all about these one pan quick meals (or in this case a rice cooker pot)🥰

Sushi Burrito
🔸@sietefoods cassava tortillas
🔸parsley lime quinoa cooked in the rice cooker (or cauliflower rice to keep it paleo)
🔸avocados
🔸smoked salmon
🔸cream cheese (optional)
🔸maybe some @yellowbirdsauce sriracha for a nice kick
🔸stuff, roll, and serve!

🙌🏻Super easy, insanely quick, and minimal clean up... my overwhelmed mommy heart is happy, so is my belly 😀🤣

Qui finalmente sembra aver smesso di piovere! Finalmente un po' di primavera!
Stamattina mentre mi preparo il caffè vi lascio la ricetta' del mio porridge:
Io ho iniziato a mangiarlo ben 3 anni fa grazie a @lilandlife ! She's absolutly a great mommy chef blogger!
👉40 gr di Avena
Cioccolato amaro in polvere q.b
200 ml di latte di riso
1 cucchiaino di baobab powder @loveraw
A volte aggiungo qualche pezzetto di banana se utilizzo il latte di avena al posto del latte di riso.
