Another day. Another breakfast. Full disclosure, I boiled 3 eggs.. and one slipped in slow motion RIGHT DOWN THE DAMN GARBAGE DISPOSAL when I went to rinse the shells off. Slippery little buggers. 🙄 So, 2 two eggs and 4 Turkey sausage links + coffee. My mornings start strong and my food choices deteriorate over the course of the day-- especially with all this dang Easter candy around. One day at a time, yall.

Instead of doing 10 different exercises for your back add 30 kgs to your deadlift and 20 kgs to your Weighted chin up. Your body will look different. Get focused on a few movements and get stronger that's the key ro building muscle. ⁣

It could be hiking in the woods, gardening, photography, What ever it might be, you need to MAKE THE TIME. Schedule it in and stick to it! Mental health is just as important as physical health. Can’t emphasize this enough - women are NOT small men!! When we learn about the latest “health fad” or “diet trick” - most of these are studied on men and unfortunately, women’s bodies are just a bit more sensitive

For example, intermittent fasting is a tool that many people have adopted and found helpful in terms of digestive, cognitive function, insulin resistance, energy, etc but for some women, it can actually be harming their bodies! Intermittent fasting is a stressor on the body and especially for women who are already under eating, have a a lot of stress, not sleeping enough, and have a family to take care, intermittent fasting can only drive her down faster

Another example is strength training. I am a HUGE advocate for strength training but a woman’s strength, stamina, and energy actually fluctuates with her menstrual cycle. Men naturally have more testosterone and can build muscle, loss fat much quicker than their counterparts so don’t be discouraged when you see your husband or boyfriend making progress much faster

#CARBS are also a huge topic that is highly debated on. From the studies I’ve read and experts I’ve learned from, I personally believe that women do require more carbs than men - especially for hormonal health. Everyone can have their specific threshold of carb tolerance but on average, a woman may suffer from a lower carb diet when compared to men 🍚

So when there’s a new headline or new “health tip” that comes up, be sure to read it with an open mind. Everyone is so different and one thing that works for one person may not work for you. Instead, try different methods until you find one that works for you. Here are MY general tips to a healthful life:
1️⃣ SLEEP 🌙 - atleast 7-8 hrs a night
2️⃣ EAT whole, unprocessed foods for at least 80% of your meals
3️⃣ MOVE 🧘🏻‍♀️ walk, stand, and incorporate resistance training!
4️⃣ Surround yourself with POSITIVE people (holy moly, can’t stress this one enough)
5️⃣ LAUGH 😂 and be grateful 💕

My greatest pet peeve is when people say fitness people only eat salads or they only eat "gross food". Well guess what! Those people are absolutely wrong. Eating healthy means choosing what food your body needs over what your brain wants. Eating healthy is a life style that gives your body energy and the right nutrients. It is a lot to learn but well worth it! This is one of my meals today. Its consists of plain Greek yogurt, vanilla whey protein, fresh strawberries, blueberries and chia seeds! And let me tell you that I could eat this everyday for the rest of my life. It is so yummy!!! Try it out and let me know what you think!

Truth be told.....Before, I was easily
Irritated 🤬, little to no Patience, basically a fun sucker! 
I could not focus on one task and complete it, I would start one thing and something would catch my eye or a thought about something would distract me and off I went- I was very similar to a squirrel 🐿 in traffic! 
I never really slept, I napped, an hour here a few hours there and then I would crash after days of  not getting a restful night sleep. 
I had zero energy, little to no drive, I was basically surviving and waiting for the day to be over! 
My blood sugars were out of control despite my best efforts and basically I was just tired, tired of disappointment, tired of trying with no results or things taking a turn for the better!

Enter ketones....my packets of magic! 
I’ll be honest I had tried everything on the market for energy, focus, sleep and fat loss! As  I’m sure a lot of other people have but this....this was different, here is what I experienced!

Day 2 I had a little pep in my step, I didn’t get aggravated because the mini needed 5 more minutes of sleep ( I like schedules and don’t like them disrupted) but didn’t mind I just went with the flow! 
By day 3 popped out of bed before my alarm went off (no hitting snooze 3 times) walked the dog around the neighborhood twice ( we were both shocked)! I was like a little rocket all day! Work done and ahead of schedule, stayed calm in during some major adversity and still had energy for dinner and homework!

By day 5 i was falling asleep, head hit the pillow out like a light, stayed asleep, and felt rested for the first time in a long time, and didn’t bust into sweats while I slept from crazy blood sugars!
