En los días de tren inferior suelo hacer pocos ejercicios, ya que son más demandantes y necesitamos más tiempo de descanso entre sets para poder recuperarnos.

Les dejo mi WOD de tren inferior, con enfoque en posteriores: [reps x sets]

🔸 Sumo deadlift | 10,8,6 (warm-up*) + 5x5
🔸 Peso muerto rumano | 4x10
🔸 Estocadas búlgaras | 4x10 (cada pierna)
🔸 Cable pull-through | 10x5

* Empiezo con poco peso para entrar en calor, y voy aumentando progresivamente mientras disminuyo la cantidad de repeticiones . 
_
⚠️ Quería contarles que los planes de entrenamiento tienen que ser armados según tus metas, tu enfoque, la disponibilidad horaria que tengas, y tu nivel de experiencia, ya que hay ejercicios más fáciles de aprender, y otros un poquito más avanzados (aunque siempre hay variaciones!).
_
⚠️ Por eso, NO hay una rutina perfecta, al contrario, cada tanto deberías cambiar los ejercicios para que tu cuerpo reciba diferentes estímulos y no te estanques, y obviamente para que VOS no te aburras. Dicho esto, hay algunos ejercicios básicos #compound que, para mi, nunca pueden faltar:
_
✅ Para el tren inferior, variaciones de: deadlift, sentadillas, #estocadas, y algún ejercicio de #isquiotibiales. Como son ejercicios básicos, cada uno tiene un montón de variaciones, lo importante es encontrar el que te guste y más te resulte!
_
Además, creo que es importante ponerse una meta específica y trabajar para lograrlo. Hace tiempo que quería llegar a tirar 90kg en #pesomuerto (deadlift) y 💥HOY lo logré!💥

💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼 When the pump is real...⁣

Why do muscles get “pumped”? If your muscles look extra large at the end of your workout, you’re not imagining it, they probably are! ⁣
⁣
This is caused by your body pumping more blood into your muscles to help remove byproducts like lactic acid. The muscles are also being replenished with water to continue this process and also help with muscle recovery. ⁣
⁣
Enjoy the pump, and know that it means you have worked your muscles and now they are repairing and growing!⁣

💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼 When the pump is real...⁣

Why do muscles get “pumped”? If your muscles look extra large at the end of your workout, you’re not imagining it, they probably are! ⁣

This is caused by your body pumping more blood into your muscles to help remove byproducts like lactic acid. The muscles are also being replenished with water to continue this process and also help with muscle recovery. ⁣

With @logic new album drop, I had to change the song I added originally to this clip 😂. I have been listening to it NON-STOP. He’s my absolute fav and go-to when I need some extra pump in the gym. Song: Out Of Sight by Logic. .

I’ve been changing up my leg days with some sumo deadlifts. They’re VERY technical so I’m working on form, it’s not perfect here (starting off driving my hips a smidge closer to the bar and then my ending position could have been straighter). After watching this I’ve been able to make corrections in the last few weeks. 
Deadlifts in general are difficult to master due to form variations caused by different body types, depending on how tall you are and your hip/hamstring mobility. .

The Sumo variation is a great exercise that helps strengthen more of the hips and helps develop the entire posterior chain (hamstrings, glutes, erector spinae muscles (back), traps (upper back/shoulder area), and posterior delts (back of the shoulder).

✨Sumo Deadlift Benefits✨
• Activates the glutes, quads, and hips more than conventional
• Less force on the back and lumbar spine (more upright position)
• Shorter range of motion
• Improves your conventional deadlift .
.
✨ Some General Guidelines ✨
• Body Stance - Start off with a moderate width stance with the knees stacked right above the ankles. Feet will be outside of the hips. Toes should be turned out (not straight or 90 degrees), shins should be perpendicular to the bar and shoulders in line with the bar. .
• Driving your back and hips towards the bar while simultaneously drawing the knees out. You shouldn’t be leaning over the bar too much. .
• Hip Position - This will vary with everyone but you don’t want to go so low to where you feel like you’re in a squat. You’ll want to feel tension in the hamstrings while you’re keeping your back straight.

I’d highly recommend before moving into a Sumo with a Barbell, to start off with a Kettlebell or Dumbbell with a Sumo stance. .

They say people who take pictures of themselves and post them on social media, or record videos of their workouts have some sort of “mental health issue” .... mmmkay 🙄

I chose to start up my fitness account to track my progress and hold myself accountable! I also started posting exercise videos and ideas to hopefully help out some people who may be interested in some new ideas for their workouts. 
I’m becoming more and more comfortable in my own skin but by NO MEANS, feel like I’m perfect or exactly where I want to be. Everyone’s got flaws. Everyone’s got weaknesses. But everyone’s also got strengths. And motivation. And determination. And goals. .
.
When I look at new pictures or videos I take for my fitness account, I see PROGRESSION. GAINS. HAPPINESS. HARD WORK. PURPOSE. Do these things mean I automatically have something wrong with me because I like to look back on the progress I’ve made. No. Not at all🙅🏻‍♀️. .

Woo I've just put my 2 styles back to back in this video, semi contact points kickboxing (which I started in 2005) and full contact teakwondo, more different than I first exspected to be fair. I've only recently made the transission over to tkd at the end of last year and it's been challenging (especially cause I'm like 37, old as fooook to be bouncing around on mats anyway lol 😂) but enjoyable. I am learning so much fast and I'm confident I'll be racking up the 🏅🏅🏅soon. Let's do this 👊🥋

Feel like I’m finally getting in a decent gym routine again🙌🏻 Back to the class push, pull, legs REPEAT🤪 who else follows this same pattern???
In all seriousness though just want a little chat about my own personal experience with fitness, weight loss, muscle gain etc....it’s leading up to summer which is the time when probably 90% of people say they want to lose weight or get toned blah blah blah so go to the gym more or go for runs etc but I think people really underestimate how important diet is!!! I would say from personal experience that eating a well balance diet with the right nutrients, enough protein for muscle growth and enough carbs for energy is sooooo much more important than hitting the gym for hours each day. You can gym as much as you want but truth is if you’re not eating right it won’t do much in terms of changing the way you look🤷🏼‍♀️ The 80/20 rule is a perfect way to help you achieve your goals without too much restriction🍕🥑🍞 YOU CAN’T OUT TRAIN A BAD DIET❤️

WHY WE DO IT? If you’ve spent a long time in a calorie deficit your body will do everything it can to adapts to lower calories and save energy making it much harder to make progress! HOW TO DO IT? In my early twenties when I had a photo taken, although I smiled, I would do all I could to hide my body. I came across the photo on the left which I had removed the tag from on Facebook. -

Whenever I feel like I have weight to lose, and when I look back at how slim I got and start cursing myself that I put some weight back on, I remind myself of where I came from. -
-
The changes I have made are not just on the outside, I am confident, I stand tall. I don’t hide my 5ft7 frame by slouching into people. I don’t cover my stomach with my arms or a drink, I don’t hide my body behind other people. -

As much as I have still got to learn about body positivity, I have come so far, and changed so much from the insecure girl I was. Keep moving forward, continue to strive for progress, make small changes every day! -

💪🏼Let’s cure that leg!💪🏼You already know, as I am continuously pestering about it, I have been injured for a while and unable to train properly 😰😰I am already doing Tecar Therapy and Microcurrent applications, but I’m so fed up about not being able to train properly that I was looking for something that could improve my recovery even further, and I found out this study made on rugby Italian National team athletes, supporting the theory that Whole Body Cryotherapy induces bone remodelling: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/m/pubmed/23000054/ 🤗🤗 I checked and “Bingo”! There is one in London (actually more than one, but the one I went to has a proper chamber, like a walk-in fridge). In brief, I had to wear shorts and bra, a protective mask, ear band, gloves and special shoes and I was in for 3 minutes at -120°C. They put the music on and it was cold but not unbearable: it doesn’t feel worse than a quick dip in icy waters (and I do enjoy a freezing dip after a run). As I exit the chamber, I feel refreshed; my body temperature is measured 19°C. Prior to the treatment, I measured in at 32°C❄️❄️❄️ I’ll do some other session in the next few weeks and I hope that my leg will get benefits from it (and if not I hope it burns some fat at least 😜😜).
