Today with @yogafeature is Wheel pose tutorial by @adellbridges 🙏 When I first started practicing I found it so difficult, mostly because I was stiff as a board in my thoracic spine and my shoulders and arms weren’t exactly accommodating either! .
.
Areas to work on to help get the shoulders more stacked over the wrists (ie a more comfortable wheel pose and a position where transitions are easier) three areas to work on are: .
.
FOREARMS: stretch your forearms! I personally like placing my palms on the floor with my fingers pointing back towards me, but it’s a bit intense. Doing  against a wall with the fingers up is super useful because it also gets the shoulder and thoracic spine opening at the same time! .
.
SHOULDERS: along with puppy pose,  has got to be one of the best poses to open the shoulders. Bend your knees if you need to, and let your heels lift. The point is to press your chest back towards your thighs to open the shoulders up! .
.
THORACIC spine / upper back: again, puppy pose (in its many variations) is great for this area of the spine. Make it active, by squeezing your shoulder blades together. Also do lots of twisting! Twisting helps loosen up the upper back .
.
But finally, if you want to improve your wheel pose, PRACTICE WHEEL POSE. Breathe, slowly. Do 3 breaths to begin with, work up to 4, then 5, etc. I promise it gets easier! .
.
I think wheel pose is the best example of where we must find the balance between ease and effort. It’s not easy!! But how much ease can you find in this effortful posture? .

One more thing: the top left photo is NOT wrong. If that’s where you are, BE PROUD of yourself. Seriously. If you’re still working to get your head off the mat, BE PROUD of yourself! .

If you burn more fat during a workout you will burn more carbohydrates for the rest of the day and vice versa.  This is not a knock on fasted cardio as I enjoy doing it myself simply because I couldn’t imagine doing sprints after a bacon egg and cheese.

The key to fat loss, and I apologize in advance for the boring answer, is being in a caloric deficit.  It’s best to think of carbs and fats as interchangeable due to what I explained above.  The insulin/fat loss theory has been debunked many times over.

Have you ever seen those charts on the treadmill that say “fat burning heart rate zone?” It’s the same concept.  You may be burning more fat during the workout itself but for the rest of the day you’ll be utilizing carbs for energy.

This morning was an unintentional rest morning. Usually on a Wednesday morning I walk, the Do my functional session at the gym.
When my alarm went off at 4am, I was exhausted still and since I didn’t rest yesterday morning (which I usually do) I told myself to stay put.

My little magic crack pill 💊 🤪 just kidding. But in all seriousness this actually has to be the only metabolism boosting energy enhancing pill I have ever taken that doesnt give me the shakes, nausea, anxiety OR keeps me up till 2am. When I say energy I mean I can wash my floors at 9pm. Im up at 4:40 and working out at 5am. (If your looking for a prework out type of crazyness feeling, metaburn isnt for you). So, we’re going to share what you should and should NOT be doing in order to burn that fat off!

What to do:

Lifting heavy: Muscle is more metabolically active than fat so building muscle will boost your metabolism and help you burn more calories each day

Eating Protein: Protein increase TEF (thermogenic effect of food) and can increase metabolic rate. Protein also helps you stay fuller for longer therefore less snacking and grazing.

Walk: Have you heard “sitting is the new smoking” well, I wouldn’t consider it that bad but if you have desk job you are sedentary most of the day (even if you workout for an hour) so taking breaks to go walk or wearing a @fitbit to track your steps is a great tool to burn a few hundred more calories each day which can lead to lbs in a month!

Get some sleep: Lack of sleep has been link to increase blood pressure levels, insulin resistant and can have negative effects on metabolism. Sleep deprivation will also boost your hunger hormone gremlin which in result will make you over eat the next day. So focus on around 7-9 hours per night! No sleep is not for the weak sleep is for the fit! hehe

Eat very low calories: Let’s be real, you will never stick to this and you will likely put all the weight back on after you are finished with the extreme diet.

Zwischen den Bildern liegen gut 8 Jahre, knapp 10 Kilo und eine Riiiiiiiesen Portion an Persönlichkeitsentwicklung! Ich will euch nicht sagen, wie ich mich damals gefühlt hab. Ich habe meine Figur, mein Körper, meine Beine, mein Bauch - ich habe es gehasst!!!! Zig Diäten ausprobiert, Jo-Jo Effekt hallo! Nichts hat geholfen!! Bis zu dem Tag, an dem ich angefangen hab mich mit mir und der Ernährung zu beschäftigen!
Natürlich könnte ich an einem ganz anderen Punkt stehn, nach so viel Jahren Krafttraining und guter Ernährung - aber wisst ihr was?! Die mentale Stärke in meinem Kopf ist der größte Gewinn! Der Rest kommt mit der Zeit!

Aber was ich über mich in den letzen Jahren gelernt hab - ist für mich das wichtigste!!!! Und das wichtigste: Alles was schnell geht - kommt super schnell wieder! Alles step by Step! Der Körper ist keine Maschine!

Wenn auch ihr an einem Punkt steht und nicht weiter kommt - fängt an euch mit der Materie auseinander zu setzen!!!! Keiner muss Ernährung studiert haben, aber werdet sensibel was eure Gesundheit angeht! Schaut auf euch und euren Körper!!!! Warum den Körper wie Abfall behandeln - Ihr habt doch nur den einen Körper, darum gebt ihm auch nur das beste!!!
Ich bin noch längst nicht am Ziel! Ich kämpfe trotz meiner Krankheit #Lipödem weiter! Ich will mich endlich zu 100% wohl in meinem Körper zu fühlen!!
