Here’s a little fun food fact.
I’ve had a few people tell me that they eat Angie’s Boom Chicka Pop popcorn became its “healthier” and only had 35 calories per cup.
I’m not an expert on nutrition but personally, I like to save money where I can and enjoy the goods I like. So I read labels and compare prices.
I find that Blue Menu Natural Flavour popcorn is less expensive and also has less calories and less fat.
We often get sucked in by the big sticker on the front that dates less calories so we shell out our hard earned money thinking we’re eating healthy.
Check out the no name brands of jam for example. They have less chemicals and more simple  ingredients and are often almost half the price. It doesn’t have a pretty picture on the from but are you eating the picture on your jam jar?
Do your homework. Learn to read labels and save money.

Started with Joe a few months ago - he's down 17.5kg since February 👍 More importantly he's up from a bad 30kg squat to a nice squat repping on 80kg 👌
We've not reinvented the wheel all we've done is track our food intake with MFP and I've given him workouts via the NMARINE app alongside PT with me. Credit to Joe as he's done exactly what I've told him to do.

I have a love/hate relationship with leg day, but I’m motivated to reach my goal! 💪🏼 One of the leg and booty 🍑 workouts I started doing were hip thrust and I LOVE THEM 💕 I started using a bosu ball, then worked my way up to using a dumbbell, can’t wait to use the barbell soon! Slowly, but surely 🤟🏻

I had a friend ask me today why she couldn’t lose weight and when I really sat down and thought about it, there was only 3 reason I could think of that people struggle with weight loss:
-
1.lack of exercise
2.not eating consistently
3.not eating ENOUGH
-
Addressing number 1: this friend of mine works out about four times a week doing HIIT workouts or swimming. For most people, it’s sufficient enough to do 3 30 minute sessions of elevating your heart rate a week. Not number one.

Addressing number 2: she was eating very strictly during the week, eating primarily fruits, veggies and fish (she’s vegetarian so doesn’t like most meat) and eating out once or twice on the weekends. As long as you’re consistent about 80% of the time (which she is), losing weight should happen easily.

Now to the kicker, number 3- she isn’t eating enough!! When we sat down and crunched numbers, she’d only been eating around 1000 calories per day for three months...talk about depleting your body! I’ll be the first to admit I’ve done this before and the same happened to me- I hit a major plateau and then GAINED weight while eating next to nothing!

Here’s why: when you eat that little for so long, you’re body is physically so drained that it’ll go into starvation. Any deviation over that 1000 calorie amount (this could literally be from one day of bad eating) can lead to serious fat gain fast because you’re body is looking for any and all sources of energy... so compensates by holding onto it.

So while eating in a deficit for a little while isn’t bad, staying there for a long time can lead to some serious side effects...some even more detrimental like breaking a bone or snapping a tendon.

We made a plan for her to carb cycle to see if she can lose a little more weight to reach her goal. If her body doesn’t respond, we are going to slowly start adding in more calories every week until she hits maintenance (aka reverse dieting) so her body can regulate again. Crazy as it sounds, whenever I’ve done this after a “cut” I actually lose a few pounds because my body finally has the energy to push harder and burn more in the gym💪🏼
