💥 A common thought in the health and fitness industry is that deep squats are bad for your knees. However, virtually no research supports this theory. The anatomy of the knee joint helps stabilize the knee during deep squats and the connective tissue of the knee is rarely challenged past 50% of its peak tensile strength. Keep in mind, however, that any exercise can cause pain or injury when done wrong, so always make sure your form is perfect and use appropriate weights. Im healthy now but I had torn a chunk of cartilage off of the bottom of my femur. Now, I'm not doctor but I would say they missed a piece when they were in there cleaning it up!

Back story- When I first launched a “fit biz” it was named “TeamGoE” (Team Gym Over Everything). My first shirt was “Sweat Is The Sexy” it was a motto we used to help ladies get over the vanity cliche of working out. For the fellas it was about confidence in the work you put it. I mean who doesn’t want to feel/be sexy. People loved it and we sold out in weeks. 
Someone recently asked if I carried this shirt anymore and it made me wonder would ppl still get behind this movement.

More people need to realise the scientific facts of stretching. I see too many people spend hours stretching before workouts not knowing there's more effective ways of warming up and getting ready for a workout.

If you are still sceptic about this, just go read up about the Golgi tendon reflex and muscle spindles. 
Do activation work before you start your workouts. .

I've been saying this for a while. It's pretty common sense. I hardly stretch because I perform functional compound movement workouts and keep myself well balanced. I only stretch when I need to. You will hardly see me doing isolated movements anymore.

Fils chéri est retourné à l école ce matin, je vous laisse imaginer le calme dans la maison 😜

Ça me fait beaucoup de bien d'avoir du temps rien qu'à moi 🙏 ✔Pouvoir mettre au clair et planifier la suite de mon projet de reconversion professionnelle. ✔Prévoir de nouveaux articles sur le blog. ✔Prendre le temps de faire mon album photos ( j'avance j ai terminé 2016) ✔Lister tout ce que je dois faire ce mois ci (j aime faire des listes et m'y tenir, et oui je suis déjà en mai dans ma tête ). ✔Me faire un plateau télé pour le déjeuner ( même si la 10 ne diffuse plus friends 🤨) Bref avoir le luxe d'avoir des heures entières rien qu'à moi.

J'en avais énormément besoin après ces vacances.

Je sais que ce soir quand Fils chéri va rentrer de l'école, il aura beaucoup de fatigue et de stress à décharger. Ce sera très probablement sous forme de crise, cris et pleurs mais je suis sereine. 
Je me suis recentrée sur moi même, je vais donc pouvoir accueillir sa décharge avec bienveillance.

The anatomy of the knee joint helps stabilize the knee during deep squats and the connective tissue of the knee is rarely challenged past 50% of its peak tensile strength. Keep in mind, however, that any exercise can cause pain or injury when done wrong, so always make sure your form is perfect and use appropriate weights. 💥 Many think that stretching before a workout can help prevent injuries. However, very little data exists to support this opinion. Stretching can, in certain cases, increase injury risk and will more than likely impair performance when done before a workout. Keep your warm-ups to dynamic movements like plyometrics, jogging, or any other form of warm-up that gets a light sweat going. If you still want to stretch, do so after your workout.

This effect was seen in all three heads of the deltoid and was further increased by performing overhead press while standing. Dumbbells appear to be a better choice for training the shoulders, but continue to add variation to your movements for optimal gains.
