Eating out with your family is possible with a healthy lifestyle guys! 💁🏼‍♀️

One of Kohl’s favorite places to eat is Firehouse Subs.  We promised him dinner over his spring break weeks ago, and this mama was not going to break that promise.  So I ordered the chopped salad with grilled chicken and balsamic vinaigrette 🥗🍗

I was able put a smile my kiddo’s face, have dinner out with my family, and still stay on track with my cleanse. 🥰

TRAINER TIP THURSDAY!

By a wide margin, most of the visible progress I’ve made on growing my chest has come in the last six months.  So what did the trick? 
You might assume I added more chest days to my routine.  Maybe a whole mess of exercises, turning my chest days into 2-hour marathons.

Quite the opposite.  I *reduced* the number of sets and movements on my chest days.

It’s incredibly common and perfectly human to assume more is better, especially in the gym.  And to be sure there are cases where that’s true.  But it’s very easy for us to end up overtraining, which is not only counterproductive but can also be very dangerous.

Now, of course, we’re all different.  For a pro bodybuilder or football player, yes, more probably = more.  But I share this tip because plateaus are unavoidable in any fitness journey, and nothing is quite as satisfying as busting through one.

If you’re going real hard at the gym and not seeing results, it’s POSSIBLE you’re overdoing it. (I’m looking at you, “every day is arm day” dudes.) And so busting your plateau may just be a matter of stepping back and looking at what you’re doing with a critical eye to see what might need to change.

When you coach as many people as I have and have been in this industry long enough to have a few grey hairs in your beard
•
You start seeing very often that what looks advanced is normally stupid, and what looks simple is normally advanced
•
People tend to have an "all or nothing" viewpoint about most things in life, but when it comes to your biology this type of mindset will always bite you in the ass
•
Biology AND Psychology never operate on extremes, so neither should you if you want to make permanent change this time
•
Do you want to be fit for your 8-Week challenge? Or do you want to be fit for life? 
Some people eat no carbs, some people eat a lot of carbs
•
Some people do no cardio, some people do a lot of cardio
•
Some people think supplements are poison, some people take a bunch of supplements
•
Here's a quick way to get to the bottom of the truth... Find the middle ground
•
Any "way" that is extreme will always have its drawbacks. No method is entirely beneficial nor destructive, so find that middle ground

Because that's where consistency lies, and consistency is king.

Creamy pasta that doesn’t make you feel like a piece of 💩? You can praise the Lord because it exists! I have been trying to incorporate more protein from plant based sources vs meat. This pasta is a perfect example with chickpeas and tofu serving as the stars of the protein show. The bean based pasta also gives complex carbs/fiber that don’t sit so heavy in the gut (but still allow a hearty portion) in comparison to typical white/wheat based pasta. 
I know what you’re thinking.... tofu? Don’t diss it till you try it! It’s practically tasteless and makes the perfect consistency like a standard Alfredo sauce.

PLANT BASED ALFREDO 
4 servings
30P /24F/ 47C

INGREDIENTS
* 1 package soft or silken tofu
* 1 box chickpea pasta
* 3 garlic cloves
* 2 tbs olive oil
* 1 cup dairy-free milk
* 1 cup sundried tomatoes sliced
* 1 cup mushrooms
* 4 cups spinach * 1 tbs dried basil
* 1/2 tbs pepper
* salt to taste
DIRECTIONS
1. In a medium pan over medium heat, add olive oil, sundried tomatoes, mushrooms, two garlic cloves minced and basil. Cook until the tomatoes are softened and fragrant. Add in spinach last to steam and soften. 
2. Meanwhile add all other ingredients to a blender and blend until smooth, about one minute. Add more milk to adjust the consistency to your liking.
4. Add blended mixture to the sautéed vegetables on the stove. Add salt to taste. Enjoy over cooked pasta.

To those that talk and dont do , I'm sorry you still find yourself in a vicious circle of constant panic of self confidence , caring what others think and having the need to put a NEGATIVE spotlight on anyone trying to live there best life .  Stand up and know your worth. 
Break the circle and live your life for you.
