Got my gardening done. 🌱Zucchini, butternut squash, rainbow Swiss chard, green beans, snap peas, and rainbow carrots in the tilled garden. Planted my blueberry bush near the backyard patio, set up a trellis near the deck stairs for my cucumbers I planted to grow on and potted a bunch of bell peppers which I will end up repotting once they get to a decent size. 🥕🥒
I also decided to propagate my succulents that I’ve had for like 1.5-2 years that have been kind of wishy washy overtime. They thrived outdoors in the front garden last summer and then did okay in the pots indoors but by the time winter was here they were becoming kinda sad and idk if it was the lack of sunlight or the soil or both but I’m hoping they’ll thrive again this summer. They also generated a lot of baby plants which is why I decided  to propagate those. Unsure how they will do but last year I had many propagated leaves that lasted a couple weeks and then kind of stunted and died so I was unable to get much out of those. Trying to better my green thumb each year. 👩🏻‍🌾

I’ve always prided myself on knowing all different brands of products and colour-hand selecting the very “best” ones to use. I know what works. My work has been published in mags so I get the best discounts on makeup too. My body recently developed a gluten allergy. Is that a real thing? YES. Likely due to stress, which is a whole other topic. This may or may not be permanent. How hard can it be to avoid gluten? No biggie, no bread is easy. Wrong. I thought I had it under control until I decided to break out my fav berry colored lipstick. As I ate my gluten free lunch, I noticed the tingle which quickly escalated to the feeling that I was choking. It took me awhile, but once I started researching my mind was blown. Gluten.. And so much more. I looked up everything in my makeup bag, then moved onto the color lines I use. Thankfully, @lorealpro Majirel is a “top free”.. but some others not so much. I’ll be making some serious changes not only for me, but for the health of my clients. It would take something like this for me to change my ways! These are a few of my weekly staples. I LOVE the 90 cal wraps they’re loaded with fiber, the 7 grain bread is only 70 cals a slice. The freezer veggies are only $1 and so convenient for a fast meal prep.
If you love low-cal ice cream they have they’re own version called Sundae Shoppe ( this pint of Mint Chip is only 280 calories).
They have an organic produce section, super cheap Greek yogurt and insanely cheap wine 🍷

BEREIDINGSWIJZE:

Laat de tofu indien nodig goed uitlekken en snij in blokjes.
Verhit een koekenpan met een klein beetje olijfolie en bak de tofu blokjes in 10 minuten goudbruin. Draai de blokjes regelmatig om.
Rasp 1 cm gember (of gebruik ½ tl gemberpoeder).
Snij de wortel in dunne stukjes en snij de baby paksoi door de midden of in plakjes. Snij de bosui in kleine ringetjes.
Giet een beetje olijfolie (1 el) in een pan en voeg hier de kurkumapoeder, geraspte gember en gemalen peper aan toe. Bak dit zachtjes voor 2 minuten.
Voeg vervolgens de Patak’s korma paste pot toe. Bak dit voor 1 minuut zachtjes mee, zodat de smaken goed los kunnen komen.
Voeg vervolgens de kokosmelk en het water toe. Roer goed door zodat de kruidenpasta kan oplossen.
Voeg de groente (houdt een beetje bosui apart als garnering) toe aan de kokos curry soep en laat dit voor 5 minuten zachtjes pruttelen.
Voeg vervolgens voor de laatste 5 minuten de volkoren noedels toe.
Schep de kokos curry soep over in twee kommen en voeg de gebakken tofu toe.
Serveer met verse koriander, een partje limoen, een paar chapatti’s en eventueel nog wat bosui.

All the pasta for dinner tonight. I’ve been super into pasta made from legumes recently because I’ve been trying to increase my protein. I honestly can’t tell the difference between the two (and if I can, I like the heartiness and nuttiness of lentil pasta better anyway😋) There is absolutely nothing wrong with regular pasta, I eat it all the time! I just love the whole and real ingredients in lentil pasta and the protein aspect of it.🤗

Cornmeal Crusted Baked Potatoes by  @monkeyandmekitchenadventures 🍟

Recipe:⠀
Ingredients:⠀
4 large baking potatoes, cut into wedges, lengthwise, skins on⠀
2 Tablespoons tahini (possibly a little more)⠀
1 teaspoon garlic powder⠀
1 teaspoon onion powder⠀
1 teaspoon sweet paprika (+ more used later)⠀
1 Tablespoon medium grind cornmeal (+ more used later)⠀
1 teaspoon sea salt to taste⠀
Sprinkle black pepper⠀
⠀
Instructions:⠀
Preheat the oven to 400 F. Place the oven rack towards the middle.⠀
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper, set aside.⠀
Mix the seasonings, garlic powder, onion powder, sweet paprika, sea salt, black pepper and cornmeal in a small bowl. Set aside.⠀
Cut the potatoes into wedges, and place in a large mixing bowl. Note: You should be able to get between 6-8 wedges per potato. ⠀
Coat the potato wedges with the tahini, using your hands to get some tahini on all sides of the potato wedges, then once thoroughly coated with a thin coating of tahini, dump the potato wedges onto the baking sheet.⠀
Line the potato wedges up single file across the baking sheet.⠀
Sprinkle with the seasoning mixture. Then take each wedge and rub it with the seasoning mix that fell onto the baking sheet trying to ensure that each side of the potato wedge has a sprinkling of seasoning mixture on it.⠀
Then take some extra cornmeal and sweet paprika and sprinkle over the wedges with a light sprinkling.⠀
Bake in a 400 F oven for 30 minutes or until tender.⠀
When the potatoes are done, you may place them under the broiler for a few minutes to brown them up some more.⠀
Once out the oven, immediately sprinkle with a light amount of sea salt.⠀
Serve with your favorite dressing. Enjoy!

RECIPE 1 jar
* 1 cup berries (fresh or frozen)
* 1/2 cup rolled oats
* 1/2 tbs cacao
* 1 cup plant milk
* 1 tsp vanilla
* 1 tbs sweetener (optional)
* 1 tbs chia/flax (optional)

1. Simmer berries on low heat in a sauce pan with 1 tbs water till hot, mush with a fork. 
2. Add to a jar, add remaining ingredients and stir to combine. Let sir overnight or at least 1 hour.

⚠️⚠️⚠️ NUEVA RECETA ⚠️⚠️⚠️ Traia antojo desde hace unos dias de un curry pero no lo queria grasoso y queria que fuera alto en proteina. 
Esta receta combina muchos tipos de sabores, desde el dulce del coco, la frescura del cilantro, lo amargo de las especias, la sal de mar, la acidez de los tomates y el toque de picor.

La verdad esta muy facil de hacer, espero la disfrutes igual que yo. 
Lentejas al Curry
2 tazas de lentejas cocidas
2 tazas de arroz cocido
Salsa de Curry
c/n tomate cherry
Cilantro al gusto
c/n chile quebrado o chiltepin

Salsa de Curry
2 dientes de ajo, finamente picados
1/4 pieza cebolla blanca, finamente picada 
3 tomates huaje, picados finamente
1/2 taza leche o crema de coco
1/2 taza fondo de vegetales
2 cdas de garam marsala (yo combine canela, clavo, pimienta negra, jengibre, comino y cardamomo para hacerlo en casa)
Sal de mar al gusto

Proceso
1. Acitronar el ajo y la cebolla en un sarten caliente. 
2. Seguido, verter los tomates picados y guisar hasta desjugar.
3. Incorporar las especias y cocer hasta que suelten su aroma, vas a notarlo con el olor. 
4. Verter la leche de coco y el fondo de vegetales y dejar hervir por 1 min. 
5. Incorporar las lentejas a la salsa y hervir a fuego bajo hasta que se espece. 
6. Servir caliente junto con arroz y decorar con un poco de tomate cherry, hojas de cilantro y un toque de chile quebrado. ¡Buen Provecho!
